SYDNEY EYEBROW MICROBLADING BY LEILA SKANDA
HEY BEAUTY,
I’m Leila!
CERTIFIED PHIBROWS 3D MICROBLADING ARTIST, QUALIFIED MICROBLADING BROW TECHNICIAN, EYEBROW-ENTHUSIAST, SOULFUL MAMA, CROWN-FIXER & WELL, SOME LIKE TO CALL ME, THE BROW QUEEN!
We all have a favourite eyebrow, right?
Well… that’s all about to change!
Someone once told me, “our brows are sisters NOT twins, you know there’s always that one crazy sister doing what she’s not supposed to!”
– oh how it couldn’t be more true!
We all have a horror story, or two, when it comes to our brow symmetry, but have you ever really wondered why it’s so hard to get both your eyebrows to look the same?
Well, here it goes…
Faces are NOT symmetrical!
So don’t expect your brows to be either.
I know some of us girls can spend up to 15 minutes making sure our brows are just about right (every single morning)– heck, sometimes we brush them even more than our hair!

So, take for example the bone structure of a face, it’s pretty normal for one brow bone to be slightly more curved or rounded than another, therefore one may appear flatter or sit slightly squarer. – Honey, that’s just mother nature.
& I bet you haven’t heard of the ‘brow mimic’, a term used to describe the muscles that naturally pull up the eyebrows? So, it’s oh so common for the muscle tone to be stronger on one side of your face, which means one of your eyebrows will sit higher than the other when the eyes are open, ( & this is usually everyone’s favourite eyebrow!)
Even your sleeping position can affect eyebrow symmetry! No, really. If you sleep on one side of your face, more often than the other, this can affect the eyebrows too! Sleeping on one side means some hairs may be brushed off or overworked which will impact natural growth and the way the eyebrow sits.
& just to make your eyebrow symmetry goal that little bit harder, for us, microblading eyebrow artists, the way the hair grows on each eyebrow can be different as well! With one eyebrow having hair that grows straight up towards the hairline and the other having hair that sits straight along the brow bone or even pointing down towards the eye!
Gosh, sometimes it just seems like the universe is against us when it comes to perfectly symmetrical eyebrows…
But heck, that’s what Microblading Artists are for right?
So, the question still remains…
“Can I achieve perfect eyebrow symmetry?”
– or is it just a near-impossible goal we all seem to be chasing?
There are many tricks to create the illusion of perfectly shaped, symmetrical brows. Trimming, waxing, tinting and tweezing (just to name a few) – But nothing truly works better than SEMI-PERMANENT MICROBLADED EYEBROWS.

Imagine waking up with a fresh set of fluffy, full and perfectly filled brows, every single morning? Yep, I’m talking no make-up, no pencilling, no filling, shaping or grooming, well, you can give them a brush every once in a while if you really want!
& what if I told you that that’s all so possible with semi-permanent makeup… and, it’s abrowt time to step into that low-maintenance, high-confidence, you?
I’m Leila, your expert microblading artist in Sydney, go-to girl for the brows and your newest best friend.
Before I start working with any client, I sit them down to have an in-depth chitter-chatter, where we cover everything from nerves, expectations and symmetry!
So, HERE’S THE HONEST TRUTH. If you’re already not even on both sides, chances are you never will be… I’m always honest with what we can achieve in my consultation and take microblading eyebrow shaping so so seriously.
I absolutely ALWAYS, try my very best to make twins, (because I know that that’s our aim and well, I’m a perfectionist!) but the reality is, these babies are handmade, so it’s not possible for any set of eyebrows to be EXACTLY the same.
Please remember that as microblading eyebrow technicians we are artist’s NOT cosmetic surgeons! *hehe*. So, we do have to be realistic!
Saying that, I work with a lot of women who don’t have even brows when they walk through my Sydney Microblading Studio and well, once they leave, they are!
Check out some examples of my stunning clients, before & after microblading results…
All I know is, every woman that leaves my studio, leaves with a pair of outstanding microbladed eyebrows & an outstanding smile to match.
So, I’ll let you in one one of my secrets to achieving symmetry, and the reason why eyebrow tattooing/eyebrow microblading is the very best choice when it comes to achieving brow symmetry…

It’s called the golden ratio, have you heard of it? – Well, It’s a design determined according to proportion.
The true secret behind beauty relies on the proportion of the golden ratio and has appeared throughout history in the world of art, architecture, and design, dating back to 500 BC – 432 BC. (Jeeeez, something that’s stuck around so long must be great right?)
Well, to help achieve perfection, I use my Phi Brows Microblading divider tool and measurer!
According to the golden ratio, brows should begin directly above the centre of the nostrils and where the corners of the nostrils align with the outer corners of the eyes. Whilst the highest point of the arch should align the tip of the nose with the centre of the iris. (Yes, there’s a lot more maths than you’d think!)
Why not take a look and see if yours fit within the rule?

With Eyebrows being one of your defining facial features, perfectly balanced brows can make a massive difference to your look. So, no matter what the face is doing and whatever the universe gives us as a challenge, I work my ass off to create the greatest symmetry and the microbladed brows that you love.
Over the years working as a specialist eyebrow microblading artist, I have proudly developed my own unique shaping technique which took me YEARS to perfect! (If you read my first post on banana eyebrows in lunchboxes, you really know what I’m talking about!)
Anyway…
For me & my Sydney microblading girls, brow Microblading beats all other brow treatments when it comes to achieving symmetry. Why? Because it’s a semi-permanent, unique and personalised, hand-drawn, hand-measured technique, that upgrades your physical beauty and solves any natural deficiencies such as muscle mimics AND natural hair loss.
Say goodbye to waxing & tinting and hello to Microblading!
Every woman deserves to wake up with beautiful balanced microbladed eyebrows, don’t you agree?
